Operating since 1989, it is Banks Peninsula's oldest vineyard and offers a great day trip from the city of Christchurch. Situated in an extinct volcano close to Akaroa, this picturesque vineyard offers wine tastings, light bites, refreshments and stunning photo opportunities.

The Wagon & The Loft
French Peak offers two unique vineyard accommodations near Akaroa, each designed for a luxurious and relaxing country escape. The Wagon is a boutique retreat perfect for couples, featuring a queen-size bed with breathtaking ocean and an outdoor hot tub with vineyard views.
The Loft is a spacious, self-contained option for couples or small families of up to four. The modern bathroom and access to outdoor amenities like a BBQ and pétanque area make it ideal for relaxing and enjoying the stunning countryside views.
